Driving Directions to United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut

From I-84 Eastbound or Westbound: Take Exit 46, Sisson Avenue. At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Sisson Avenue and travel one block to the first traffic light, at Capitol Avenue. Turn left onto Capitol Avenue and proceed, passing U-Haul on your right, through one traffic light to the second traffic light, at Laurel Street. Take a right onto Laurel Street. The United Way building and parking lot are approximately 500 feet down on your left.

From In-Town Hartford: Laurel Street intersects with three major east-west cross streets. Traveling west on Farmington Avenue, turn left onto Laurel Street at Taco Bell; traveling west on Park Street, turn right onto Laurel Street by the Park Place Towers; or traveling west on Capitol Avenue, turn left onto Laurel Street by Capitol Archives.

Driving Directions to United Way of New Britain and Berlin

From Hartford and points east: Route 84 West to Exit 39A, Route 9 South. Follow Route 9 South to the Chestnut Street exit, which is a left hand exit. At the end of the exit, take a right onto Chestnut Street. Go straight through two traffic lights. At the third traffic light, continue straight, crossing over Main Street, onto Walnut Street.

* At the top of Walnut Street, you can only go right; then take your first right onto Court Street, which is a one way street. The United Way offices are located in the last building on the street on the left. There is on-street parking. Look for the Maguire Group Architects sign and enter the elevator lobby there. We are on the fourth floor.

From Waterbury and points west: Route 84 East to Exit 35, Route 72, New Britain. Follow Route 72 to the Main Street exit, which is Exit 9. At the end of the exit, take a right onto the Harry Truman Overpass. At the traffic light, take a right onto Chestnut Street. At the next traffic light, continue straight, crossing over Main Street, onto Walnut Street. * Follow from starred paragraph above.

From Route 91: Follow Route 9 North to Exit 26, Columbus Boulevard/Downtown exit. At the end of the exit, continue straight, moving into the left lane. The Post Office building will be on your left at this traffic intersection. Take a left onto Chestnut Street. Go straight through two traffic lights. Driving Directions to Windham Region United Way

From I-84 East: Take I-84 East to 384 East. At the end of 384, continue east on Route 6. Follow Route 6 to the intersection with Route 66 in Columbia. Continue straight through the intersection onto Route 66 until you come to a stoplight that signals the intersection of Route 32 in Willimantic. Continue through the intersection (road is now Main Street/Route 32 South). The office is located at 872 Main Street, which is at the intersection of Main Street and Walnut Street. Windham Region United Way is in the same building as Windham Regional Community Council.

From Route 32 South: Follow Route 32 South into Willimantic. Follow Route 32/Main Street. The office is located at 872 Main Street, which is at the intersection of Main Street and Walnut Street. Windham Region United Way is in the same building as Windham Regional Community Council.

From Route 195: Follow Route 195 South until it turns into Jackson Street in Willimantic. At the intersection with Main Street, turn right (the Frog Bridge will be in front of you at this intersection). The office is located at 872 Main Street, which is at the intersection of Main Street and Walnut Street. Windham Region United Way is in the same building as Windham Regional Community Council.

From Route 2 East: Follow Route 2 East to exit 27 for Route 32 North. Turn right at the end of the exit and follow through the first light onto Route 32. Follow Route 32 and turn right over the Frog Bridge in Willimantic. At the bottom of the bridge, turn left onto Main Street. The office is located at 872 Main Street, which is at the intersection of Main Street and Walnut Street. Windham Region United Way is in the same building as Windham Regional Community Council.
