Advancing the Common Good
Anyone can champion the common good. Whether you’re speaking out to
improve community conditions, getting informed about issues important to
you, or wearing the LIVE UNITED shirt to show your support, you can help
inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow. So go ahead and
advocate in a LIVE UNITED world. Do it in public. Be visible. Be loud.
Advancing the common good is not just about helping
one person at a time – it’s about changing systems to
help all of us. To get started, the following links will

How United Way is Helping
United Way is helping to ensure successful children,
during times of recession and always. UWCNCT President &
CEO Susan Dunn has been invited to serve as a member of
the state's Task Force on
Children in the Recession.

United Way is also a proud partner of Census 2010,
encouraging everyone in our communities to participate
in Census 2010. Census data are used to help determine
where federal appropriations dollars go, as well as to
determine each state's representation in the House of
Representatives. Check out the new "Take 10" interactive website
showing you participation rates locally and nationwide
