On the Day of Caring… |
Remember to wear your Day of Caring t-shirt to your project site. |
Expect to learn about the organization at which you are volunteering, their mission, and the work they are doing to make our community better. |
Expect that there will be media opportunities during the day. The media will receive project lists and may visit any of the sites. |
You may receive a visit from United Way Community Campaign volunteers and staff who visit as many project sites as possible during the day. |
Please remember to maintain the level of professionalism that you would at your workplace.
Please be discrete on details of clients you meet and circumstances that you encounter to respect confidentiality.
Remember, there is no rain date for
Day of Caring, so review the information provided by the organization regarding inclement weather plans and procedures. |
Expect to be thanked by organization staff as you are working on your project. |
If there are ever questions while at the project site, feel free to contact United Way at (860) 493-6800. |
