What
Day of Caring is an
opportunity for local companies and their employees to make a difference in our
community. United Way matches your group with various projects at local
nonprofit organizations. Day of Caring volunteers in past years have
painted houses, cooked and served meals at a soup kitchen, read to children, and
planted many gardens.
When
Friday, September 10, 2004
Where
United Way matches your
volunteer group with a local nonprofit organization in the
40-town Greater
Hartford region.
Why
Day of Caring is an
unforgettable, hands-on experience. You get to actively improve our community
while spending quality time with co-workers. It’s also a great way to see your
donations through the United Way Community Campaign at work.
