"WARM COATS FOR
WINTER"
ANNUAL COAT DRIVE
October 5 – December 15
Information for Organizations
Seeking Coats
|
Participation
is open to nonprofit (501c3) organizations, churches, town social
service departments, schools, and community groups that serve people
in need within
United Way
of the Capital Area’s 40-town service area.
To participate,
your organization must post your coat request online through
Volunteer Solutions – a link on United Way of the Capital Area’s
home page. (Volunteer Solutions is United Way’s database of live
volunteer opportunities, and we are utilizing existing capabilities
of this program to register and post your coat needs.) All requests
will be “marked” with a special button icon on the Volunteer
Solutions home page for easy donor access.
Registering
your coat needs is a simple process that will take only a few
minutes of your time. Listings you submit to United Way will be
reviewed and posted the same or next business day. While United Way
will actively promote the coat drive, there can be no guarantee that
your organization will receive coats through the program. For this
reason, you are strongly encouraged to register your needs as
soon as possible in order to reach the most potential donors.
How you
register your coat needs will depend on whether your organization is
already registered on United Way of the Capital Area’s
Volunteer Solutions.
