Did
you know that one hour of volunteer time is worth $25.75 to nonprofits in
Connecticut?* That means that for Day of Caring XVI,
workplace volunteers gave more than $435,000 worth of time to nonprofit
organizations in central and northeastern Connecticut.
Last year, Day of Caring XVI resulted in more than 4,200 volunteers
giving their time and talent to 150 nonprofit organizations in our 40-town
area. The United Way Community Campaign kicks off this year on September 5,
2008 with Day of Caring XVII where we hope you will join us in a day
of volunteering in the community.
